International Game Technology (IGT) has withdrawn its legal challenge over the decision to award the fourth UK National Lottery licence to Allwyn. The case dates back to July 2022 when the Court of Appeal granted IGT permission to challenge the selection. The Gambling Commission named Allwyn as the successful bidder for the National Lottery licence in March 2022.
Lottery technology broker Lottery.com has secured an $18.0m (£14.2m/€16.4m) investment commitment from financial group Prosperity Investment Management. Lottery.com said it will use the funds to “accelerate” its strategic acquisition plans.
